This Grape Citrus Fennel Juice recipe is an antioxidant and vitamin filled juice made from fennel bulb, orange, grapefruit, lemon, apple and grapes. Not only is it delicious, but it is incredibly nutritious as well.

Two glasses of grape citrus fennel juice on the counter.

This fennel based juice is one of my all time juices. I discovered a similar juice at a breakfast place called Satsuma in New Orleans and knew that I had to recreate something similar at home.

So, I came up with my own version of it and have been drinking it ever since. It has a hint of anise flavor (thanks to the fennel), with lots of citrus and an overall refreshingly light taste. Try my Strawberry, Beet and Carrot Juice and Healthy Green Lemonade for other healthy juice recipes.

What makes this recipe great

  • It is a great way to use fennel bulbs.
  • It does not taste like licorice. It has a light fennel taste.
  • It is a wonderful way to juice vegetables and fruit.
  • It is a great source of vitamins and minerals.

Recipe ingredients

Grape citrus fennel juice ingredients.
  • Fennel– You will need a bulb of fennel for this recipe. You don’t need the stocks, but you can use them if you want.
  • Grapefruit– a large grapefruit adds great flavor to this juice.
  • Apple– adds a nice hint of sweetness here.
  • Orange– you can use any kind of orange that you want. I use navel oranges for this recipe.
  • Lemon– you’ll only need a slice of lemon, but a little of it goes a long way.
  • Purple grapes– these are very refreshing in this recipe.

See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

Additions/ Substitutions

  • I love making this juice with 1/2 a pound of carrots added in. It is SO delicious.
  • Instead of purple grapes, you can use green grapes.
  • You can add berries to this juice.

Step by step instructions

Step 1– wash all your fruit and vegetables.

Step 2– cut your fruits and veggies to fit into your juicer. You need to remove the citrus peel, so your juice isn’t bitter.

Step 3– juice! After all of the juice has been extracted from your juice extractor, then mix the juice together with a spoon, then pour and serve.

Recipe FAQs

How can I learn more about juicing?

I got into juicing after reading the Juiceman’s Power of Juicing and that transformed my life. It’s my favorite juicing book because the recipes are realistic and the information on fruit/veggie combinations is important (the combinations do matter).

Can you make this juice in advance?

After cutting open a fruit or vegetable and juicing them, the nutrients of the fruits and vegetables instantly begin to lose their power so you shouldn’t wait more than 10 minutes to drink it.

But if you have to wait, put it into an airtight container and keep it refrigerated.

DO I have to use a juicer/ juice extractor to make this juice?

Yes! You do. It is the best way to juice veggies and fruit like this.

An antioxidant and vitamin filled juice made from fennel bulb, orange, grapefruit, lemon, apple and grapes. Not only is it delicious, but it helps to boost your immune system!

Equipment

  • 1 juicer / juice extractor

Ingredients

  • 1 small fennel bulb, or 1/2 of a large one
  • 1 cup purple grapes, (about 12 large grapes)
  • 1 orange
  • 1 small apple, or 1/2 large apple
  • 1 grapefruit
  • a sliver of a lemon, – about 1/5 of a lemon (with peel)

Instructions

  • Rinse all of the vegetables with water and dry off.
  • Chop the fennel into pieces.

  • Put all of the cut up fruit into a juicer.
  • Makes 32 ounces of juice.

Notes

  • I love making this juice with 1/2 a pound of carrots added in. It is SO delicious.
  • Instead of purple grapes, you can use green grapes.
  • You can add berries to this juice.
