This Tomato Carrot Juice recipe is a healthy homemade juice made of carrots, tomatoes, oranges and grapefruit.
Juicing is my favorite way to get back on track and to detox my body. You can’t beat the nutrients, and uplifting feeling that comes along with a fresh juice. Especially this carrot tomato juice.
Tomatoes may seem like a strange addition to juice, but don’t be afraid of it. It will not turn your drink into something that tastes like canned tomato sauce. Tomatoes adds a light warmth to the juice, which instantly makes the juice more refreshing.

Why this recipe works
- Juicing is a quick and easy way to get lots of vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants.
- It requires only a handful of ingredients.
- It is a great way to use up any extra carrots, tomatoes, or citrus that you have in your fridge.
- It is delicious and refreshing!
Recipe ingredients:
- carrots– organic and washed are best. You do not need to peel them.
- oranges– naval oranges are great here but any type of orange will do.
- grapefruit– any type of grapefruit works.
- tomatoes– I like using campari or big beef tomatoes.
Sometimes I put two oranges into this juice and sometimes I put one in. It depends how sweet I want the juice to be.

How to make this recipe
Step 1: Prepare your fruits and veggies.
- This includes washing them and cutting them into pieces that fit your juicer,
- This also includes removing the peel from the oranges and grapefruit.
Step 2: Put the fruit and veggies into your juicer/ juice extractor.
I use a Warring Pro juicer to make all of my juices. I find that it cleans really easily and that I don’t juice if I can’t put all the pieces into the dishwasher.

I have so many tomatoes growing but making juice never crossed my mind. I will be trying it!
Yes you should! I bet it’s even better with fresh tomatoes from the yard!
does this refrigerate well for a coupe of days, or something that needs to be used immediately? Also, we can’t have grapefruit, so should I add more orange or something else?
You could add any citrus in the place of grapefruit. It is ideal to drink this immediately because that is when you will get the most nutrients. However if you put it in an airtight container immediately, you could drink it the next day.:)
This is very nice looking
Deffinetly gonna try this!!
