Paleo Frozen Hot Chocolate

paleo-frozen-hot-chocolate-perchancetocookI have been experimenting with Paleo recipes a lot lately. Which is how all of this came about. I was trying to make a Paleo chocolate milkshake… and ended up with a Paleo frozen hot chocolate. This was a pleasant surprise because I love frozen hot chocolate! It reminds me of the first one that I had at the famous Serendipity restaurant in NYC. If you haven’t been and are headed to NYC, you need to go! Theres always a long line, but its worth the wait. This recipe is wonderful because you not only get to eat a frozen hot chocolate from the comfort of your own home, but you also get to eat one that is Paleo! Double Score! paleo-frozen-hot-chocolate-perchancetocook-2I honestly don’t know why I was surprised when the ingredients that I was putting into the blender did not result in a milkshake… I was using a hot chocolate recipe as inspiration after all. I followed the recipe for a perfect cup of hot chocolate on the Hershey’s cocoa powder box and replaced everything non-paleo with a paleo alternative. The result was delicious, satisfying, and fun! (minus the brain freeze haha) If you need something sweet and are trying to follow a Paleo diet, this is definitely worth a try :) Did I mention that it tastes like frozen hot chocolate?! Now back to the Paleo milkshake drawing board… :)
